Location: The Sharp Cattle Ranch is located in northeast Stonewall County being approximately 12 miles northeast of Aspermont, TX. to the south part of the ranch, off of FM 1835.

Terrain: The terrain ranges from high mesas and canyons to flat productive grass fields. The east part of the ranch has lots of elevation change with many scenic views and the west part is flat down by the river. The predominant brush is cedar and mesquite and the grasses are all native with the exception of some improved grasses planted in the fields.

Water: Three water wells with submersible pump provided water to the house and pens. The livestock is watered by numerous dirt tanks scattered throughout the ranch. The Salt Fork of the Brazos River borders the ranch for approximately ½ mile in the southwest corner.

Improvements: The owner’s house sits in the southern portion of the ranch. It is a Lubbock built home new in 2006. It is a 3 bedroom/4 bath house with a carport and office. Behind the house is a small metal building used for storage. There are 2 sets of cattle pens on the ranch. The shipping pens are located west of the house and are the largest set with scales and a squeeze chute. Next to the pens is an overhead feed bin w/3 compartments to store cubes in. The perimeter fences are in good condition.

Recreation: This area offers good hunting. Deer, hogs, dove and quail, turkey, and waterfowl are all found on this ranch. The quality of the deer is reported to be excellent.

Comments: A fire burned across some of the ranch in 2011, killing lot’s of the juniper. The property lies in 3 separate tracts all within close proximity to each other.
